Dr. Béla Pázmány
I received my degree for veterinary medicine at the Budapest Veterinary University in 1996, and passed an intermediate English language exam as well. Having finished my studies, I started working at the University’s Surgical and Oculistic Department and its clinic as a trainee. Here I managed the surgical and intensive care of small and large animals. Owing to my studies here I also gained experience in Veterinary radiology.
From 1998 I worked at the Alpha Vet Ltd.’s animal hospital in Székesfehérvár. Where I had the chance to extend my fields of experience to tocology and internal medicine, while I continued to work as a surgeon. Other than providing preventive and medical treatment, I also took part in professional veterinary counseling with the participation of the assistants under my supervision. After this I spent one year in London, at Hackney The Community College Where I studied English.
When I returned home I accepted a job with Upjohn, the American veterinary pharmaceutical retail company as a sales representative. During this time I had many opportunities to build outstanding connections with colleagues.
From 2001 I worked with Dr. László Jakab, in Szödliget in a mixed practice, while I studied orthopedics and neurology from Dr. Peter Makai, who is a member of the Hungarian Small Animal Orthopedic Association.
Among my professional activities I would like to mention attaining the qualifications of chemist laboratory technician and completed the faculty exams of the Veterinary University’s Small animal management and dog breeding courses.
I took part in numerous professional study trips and training courses of different durations.
I opened my private Veterinary clinic in Budapest’s 2. district in 2002. In 2006 I received my second degree of Small Animal Veterinary Specialist.
I am very much attached to my own pets Euki, my dog, and his friend Lazy, my cat. They also provide me with an insight to the joys and occasionally the worries of my patients’ owners.
I consider it a great gift of fate that I am able to do work which gives me so much pleasure.
